PAPER-YA

PAPER-YA is a Vancouver-based specialty store offering paper goods and stationery. Since its founding, the brand identity had remained largely unchanged. To better respond to evolving customer needs and contemporary market expectations, a rebranding initiative was proposed to refresh and strengthen the overall brand presence.
The original logo, created at the time of the store’s opening, contained excessive visual details, which limited its usability across different applications. While preserving the brand’s core essence as a professional paper specialist, the logo was redesigned using simplified lines to improve clarity, scalability, and functionality. In addition, branding was not consistently reflected across touchpoint such as social media and the website, resulting in a fragmented brand experience. To address this, a comprehensive brand guideline was developed, along with proposals for marketing materials aligned with the renewed brand identity.
The redesign improved the logo’s legibility and versatility, enabling consistent brand expression across both digital and print applications. The creation of brand guidelines clarified the direction for future brand communication and supported a more cohesive brand presence across marketing channels. This project was developed as an independent concept proposal for an existing business.
